Diane visiting - part 2
Then we packed for camping.
Stopped in Kirkjubęjarklaustur.
Some climbing had to be done there,
but it was worth it.
Then Jökulsįrlón.
Spectacular, like always.
Seals and ducklings swimming.
We got rained on as we watched the sunset above the glacier. Double rainbows looking the other way. Rather impressive.
Driving towards Skaftafell it looked like this.
Sunset, not eruption.
Camping in Skaftafell has not changed.
You still need rocks to tie the tent down.
We woke up on a beutiful sunny morning and I decided to let the tent dry out to a 150% while taking the obligatory walk ...
While clouds accumulated, faster than I could run.
And before we were half way down, it started to rain.
It was pouring. We got soaked. We needed to change all our clothes. All. The tent was soaked. No time for pictures! Fortunately we had already packed everything else. We headed towards sunshine in the west.
We didn't have to go far to see the clear sky.
And Skeišarį - got lost.
The quaint, little church.
