Fyrsti dagur

Went in the afternoon to see a huge cathedral named St. Albans. They have a gift shop and sell these creepy rolling eyeballs. Why? Because Saint Alban himself had his head chopped off, and the guy who did it lost his eyes in the action. His eyeballs supposedly popped out...  I did some shopping on the way - besides the eyeball, looking for violinstrings - bought two little violins for my future violin students!!! Hertfordshire is a very nice place, nice atmosphere, just like here in London Colney. Nice looking old houses made of red bricks, big old trees and everything clean. Spring is here, grass is green and magnolia trees flowering. Barbara cooked dinner again, and guess what! Fish is not only good in Iceland! She made this wonderful fish pie, made of haddock, salmon, shrimp, sour cream, spinage, potatos and spices. I have come to the conclusion that food is good here. No kidney pie yet! I would love to stay here longer, but Gudny is picking me up tomorrow, taking me to her place, wherever that is...

1 Smámynd: Anna Runólfsdóttir

It's great to hear that you and Mum are having a good time. I also know from personal experience that Auntie Barbara takes very good care of you, and makes the best tea-time with all sorts of "things"!

So keep having a good time and say hello from Anna, Keli, Runi and Þorgerður

ps. you may tell Mum that the new version of book-keeping in Búbót is getting on nicely...
