Silence

 

since Christmas - more or less. I just found out why! I thought I had selected Christmas presents carefully. Books, innocent DVDs and stuff. Everybody got the DVD. Pictures I thought - the beautiful and famous Icelandic landscape with music - but I never saw the whole thing... I just found out: They included penises! The DVD I sent to the US is showing the penis museum! Of course penises are no big deal in Iceland. But they are in Texas! If Diane would show this to her students she would lose her job in an instant! And now they have heard about it, and of course everybody wants to see it. This I found out yesterday. It reminds me of 30 years ago when my cousin the teenager asked for a certain book for Christmas. I bought it and had it wrapped, not once looking at it, not having one second thought about my cousin's literary taste. And I gave it to her. After Christmas her big brother came to bite my head off. I understood it was some sort of porno... You can never be too careful...
